There has been a butcher’s shop on our site for 170 years. The shop was built in 1855, next door to a pub, known as The Plough and was once one of four butcher’s shops serving the village. More recently, the shop was owned and run by Michael Roberts, who developed an excellent reputation as a family butcher in Mountsorrel, before his retirement in 2016. We were fortunate to be able to keep butchers, David and Adrian, who have a combined experience of 60 years.
